Winter Fury
Massif Central, France | January 2022
– As the night ends, I ascent towards windswept ridges in the hope to catch the raging storm that has been sweeping the peaks of central France since the day before. When I finaly reach the summit, the atmosphere is sublime in this winter fury: the first sunrays illuminate the swirls of snow, blown in golden vapors all around me. Further away, above the horizon, the sleeping volcanoes of Auvergne catch the first light of day under a dense blue sky. The next evening, winds are forecast to exceed 130 kph on the mountains. Once again, I can't resist to the call of the blizzard. Up there, the gusts soon start to blaze against the light of the setting sun... –
